Aegean Boat Report monitors and reports on issues related to people movement in the Aegean Sea, particularly actual incidents of people crossing the Sea and governments’ responses to them.
We provide detailed, correct and neutral information on arrivals, and campaign to ensure that illegal activities such as pushbacks by governments, their coast guards and other uniformed state employees are highlighted and stamped out.
Our campaign work and detailed information gathering and reporting is used by organisations, humanitarian workers, journalists and politicians all over the world, including in court cases working to protect the rights of every man, woman and child seeking to escape war, cruelty and chaos, and build a better life for themselves.
These rights belong to us all, and when they are attacked, we are all attacked. For this reason, and many others, our volunteer-run service makes sure all our information is available and free for all.
